Section 21. Mental health services shall also include mechanisms for suicide intervention, prevention, and response strategies, with particular attention to the concerns of the youth.
Section 23. Integration of Mental Health into the Educational System. – The State shall ensure the integration of the mental health into the educational system, as follows:
(a) Age-appropriate content pertaining to mental health shall be integrated into the curriculum at all educational levels; and
(b) Psychiatry and neurology shall be required subjects in all medical and allied health courses, including post-graduate courses in health.
Section 24. Mental Health Programs in Educational Institutions. – Educational institutions such schools, colleges, universities, and technical schools shall develop programs for students, educators, and other employees designed to: raise awareness on mental health issues; identify and provide support for individuals at risk, and facilitate access of individuals with mental health conditions to treatment and psychosocial support.
All public and private educational institutions shall be required to have a complement of mental health professionals.

Section 22. Public Awareness. – The DOH and the LGUs shall initiate and sustain a heightened nationwide multimedia campaign to raise the level of public awareness on the protection and promotion of mental health and rights including, but not limited to, mental health and nutrition, stress handling, guidance and counseling, and other elements of mental health.
Mental Health First Response Training is being launched across the Philippines in order to assist Filipinos to intervene when someone is having a mental health crisis or facing mental health concerns.
