Section 21. Mental health services shall also include mechanisms for suicide intervention, prevention, and response strategies, with particular attention to the concerns of the youth.
Section 22. Public Awareness. – The DOH and the LGUs shall initiate and sustain a heightened nationwide multimedia campaign to raise the level of public awareness on the protection and promotion of mental health and rights including, but not limited to, mental health and nutrition, stress handling, guidance and counseling, and other elements of mental health.
Section 25. Mental Health Programs and Policies in the Workplace. – Employers shall develop appropriate policies and programs on mental health in the workplace designed to: raise awareness on mental health issues; correct the stigma and discrimination associated with mental health conditions; identify and provide support for individuals at risk; and facilitate access of individuals with mental health conditions to treatment and psychosocial support
Mental Health First Response Training is being launched across the Philippines in order to assist Filipinos to intervene when someone is having a mental health crisis or facing mental health concerns.
